| Subject: | OS3.5 re-installation |
While working on the software configuration the other day, I managed to do
something which zarfed OS3.5. When I tried to reboot, the machine wouuld
indicate a software failure, then go into another reboot cycle.
I finally got a boot from a floppy, and got the hard disk to reboot by
taking the "setpatch" statement out of the startup sequence. However, when
I try to reinstall OS3.5, there are problems.
The preinstallation appears to go fine. However, when the machiine is
rebooted, it won't allow the main installation, but requires the
preinstallation be done again. This happens over and over, and it is never
possible to re-install the main installation.
Does anyone have any ideas, other than keeping a backup copy befgore making
changes? ;-)
